Weightlifting captain for 2 years
I did a lot of sports growing up and I finally I went into competitive gymnastics I did that for 4 years and quit going to high school, then I started doing CrossFit as a freshmen start loving CrossFit then I found out my high school had a girl's weightlifting team and I joined that my sophomore year and fell in love with it, so I did CrossFit and weightlifting for 4 years and wanted to get into coaching then I went to get my CrossFit level 1 and started coaching at thunder performance.
my senior year my high school coach asked me to go down a weight class and that was very hard because he was more focused on the team and not the athletes individually which was important for me to learn because he was doing it as a personal gain for himself and that is not what it means to be a coach so now I make it a focus to understand and care for athletes.
I am hoping that I can reach out to each athlete and make them comfortable to come to me with anything, also have people leave the gym happy after a workout and they get through the workout how they are comfortable and not being pressured to push beyond what they are truly expected to do.
